Choosing a career in law is not just about courtrooms and legal arguments — it is about shaping society, upholding justice, and influencing policy. As someone who has walked this path, I can affirm that law is one of the most dynamic and rewarding professions in today’s world.
Meet Satvik Mathur, a proud alumnus of the 2014 batch of Apeejay School, Noida. Currently, Satvik is serving as the Consultant-Legal Head at Proind Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Beyond corporate responsibilities, he is actively engaged in public service as an Executive Member of the Delhi High Court Unit of the BJP Delhi State.

Moreover, he also represents the PM Viksit Bharat Program as an Ambassador and works as the Convenor for Anand Vihar in the BJP Shahdara Zilla Advocate Cell. In addition, I serve as the Youth President of the Akhil Bhartiya Kayasth Mahasabha in South Delhi. These roles have allowed him to use my legal training to drive positive change, both in the corporate and public sectors.
Pursuing law as a career opens doors to a diverse range of fields—corporate law, litigation, human rights, criminal law, intellectual property, and more. It empowers individuals to not only protect rights but also contribute meaningfully to the legal framework of the nation. With a law degree, you gain the flexibility to work independently, join firms, or contribute to government policy and reform.
Admittedly, the early stages of a legal career can be challenging. In a conversation, Satvik mentioned, “When I started, I encountered several obstacles — from navigating complex legal systems to building a client base. However, with professionalism, patience, and tenacity, these hurdles became stepping stones. Today, I advise aspiring lawyers to embrace both academic excellence and practical experience. Real-world exposure enhances confidence and clarity, and learning from seniors in the field accelerates growth
Networking within the legal fraternity is equally important. I encourage young lawyers to build strong relationships with peers and mentors. Your network will often be your support system during difficult times, guiding you through both legal and personal challenges.”
Law is not just a profession; it’s a lifelong journey of learning, service, and leadership. If you are passionate about making a difference, enjoy critical thinking, and are willing to persevere, then law can offer you not just a career but a platform to transform lives.
Choosing law as a career is a decision that demands commitment but is rewarded with purpose, prestige, and the power to bring about real change.
