Relational relationships refer to significant areas of strength among individuals collaborating in the same organisation. Employees working together should share a strong bond to deliver their best performance. It is essential for people to be honest with each other for a healthy relational relationship and ultimately a positive work atmosphere.

An individual spends approximately eight to nine hours in their organisation, and it is virtually impossible for them to work in isolation. People are not machines that can work continuously; we need individuals to talk to and discuss our ideas. Imagine working in an organisation without any colleagues! We are social beings, and we need companions. An individual working in isolation is more prone to stress and anxiety. They rarely enjoy their work and go to the office just for the sake of it. People working alone risk making their jobs monotonous. It is crucial to have reliable colleagues with whom one can share their secrets without fearing that they will be disclosed. We should have friends at work who can provide us with constructive feedback.

A relationship between individuals working in the same organisation is known as a relational relationship. One needs people to talk to and discuss various issues at work. Research shows that productivity increases significantly when people work in groups compared to an individual working alone. Employees should handle everything well for a positive atmosphere at work. We need people around us who can appreciate our hard work and motivate us from time to time. It is essential to have some reliable colleagues at work who not only appreciate us when we do good work but also point out our mistakes. A pat on the back goes a long way in bringing out the best in people. We need people at work who are more like mentors than just colleagues.

Every relationship needs time to grow. One needs to spend quality time with someone and trust them. Miracles do not happen overnight. One should be patient enough to understand the other person for the relationship to grow and reach a higher level. Various models have been proposed in the field of relational relationship development. All the models suggest how relationships develop between friends, partners, couples, colleagues, and so on. Let’s go through the models one by one.

Relational relationships refer to individuals with similar likes and attitudes entering into an affiliation. People who share identical goals and interests enter into a relational relationship. It is crucial for people in a relationship to handle everything well. Time plays a significant role in relationships. People in love should spend enough time getting to know each other better. Dissatisfaction arises when individuals lack the opportunity and willingness to meet or interact with each other. Even in an organisation, people should spend quality time with their colleagues to strengthen the bond among themselves. Married couples should set aside some quality time for each other for the charm to stay in the relationship forever. Make the other person feel important. Appreciate your partner whenever they do something for you. Praise them in front of others. Every relationship needs time and effort to grow. Sit with your partner and try to amicably resolve any differences. Don’t be too rigid.
