Ashima Aggarwal’s daughter Aradhya is a student of upper kindergarten at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld Jalandhar. With her daughter showing incredible improvement over time, the mother has now also enrolled her younger child Krishna in nursery in this academic session. In an interview, the mother-of-two and homemaker shares what makes this institute the best school for young children. Edited excerpts:-

What made you think Rhythms Kinderworld Jalandhar would be the right school for your kids?

My husband, Nitin Aggarwal, is an alumnus of Apeejay College of Engineering and Management, Jalandhar. A lot of my relatives’ children also completed schooling at Apeejay. We got to know that the school does not put an unnecessary burden on children—now that Aradhya has spent three years in the school, I can vouch for the same. It was because of this reason that I decided to enroll my younger son Krishna in the school too.

What engaging methods do teachers use in class?

At Rhythms Kinderworld Jalandhar, it is learning through play. Instead of overwhelming children with concepts, they are engaged in different learning activities which they enjoy. The students also get to participate in various co-curricular activities like sports, dance, drawing, etc.

The students learn through other engaging methods like audio and video, which helps children grasp concepts faster.

How helpful are the teachers?

The teachers are very cooperative, supportive, and helpful. They are very friendly and are ready to guide you as and when required.

Do they help boost every student’s confidence?

All students are motivated equally. As parents, we tend to wonder whether our child would be able to perform or not. However, Aradhya’s teachers called me personally to convince me that my child should participate in various activities. My daughter has shown a lot of improvement—she can become very confident.

I remember how as students we would usually cry about not going to school. My children, on the other hand, love their school a lot. They are always excited to spend as much time as possible at school. They are enjoying the experience. Apeejay is the best!

Has Aradhya developed reading and writing skills?

Aradhya is good at writing. However, she faces a little difficulty in speaking which has impacted her reading abilities. However, I see a lot of improvement in her speech as well. She is able to recognise words very easily. The teachers share useful feedback regularly; sometimes, they write notes alongside an assignment in an exercise book to let parents know about the child’s areas of strength and weakness.
