Celebrating Talent and Achievement at ACFA’s 51st Annual Awards Ceremony

275 students honoured for outstanding achievements in academics, cultural activities, sports, and co-curricular domains.

Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, proudly organised its 51st Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony, celebrating excellence across academics, co-curricular, and extracurricular domains. The grand occasion honoured the dedication and achievements of students; 275 students were felicitated for their outstanding accomplishments in various categories.

The ceremony was organised under the esteemed patronage of Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University. The event was graced by Garima Singh, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Delhi, as the Chief Guest, while Dinesh Rai, Chairman, Alliance of MSMEs, presided over the ceremony.

Welcoming the distinguished guests, Principal Neerja Dhingra expressed her admiration for the Chief Guest, describing her as a dynamic and inspiring personality whose presence infused students with renewed enthusiasm and motivation. She also appreciated Mr. Dinesh Rai for his exemplary service and continued efforts to bridge the gap between governance and society.

Extending her greetings to Neha Berlia, who joined the ceremony virtually, Dr. Dhingra acknowledged her visionary leadership and innovative approach in strengthening the Apeejay institutions. She also warmly welcomed Sucharita Sharma, Director, Apeejay Education; Mithilesh Singh, OSD to Madam Chairman, Apeejay Education; and Nirmal Mahajan, Member, Board of Governors, Apeejay Education.

During the ceremony, Dr. Dhingra presented the college’s Annual Report, highlighting the institution’s remarkable achievements in academics, cultural activities, and sports. She reaffirmed the college’s position among the leading educational institutions in North India and emphasised its commitment to nurturing talent and promoting holistic development.

In her special address, Dr. Neha Berlia congratulated the awardees and emphasised that true success lies not merely in receiving accolades but in sustaining dedication, humility, and a spirit of social harmony. She paid tribute to the visionary ideals of the founder, Stya Paul, and reiterated the institution’s unwavering commitment to value-based education.

The event featured captivating cultural performances that added vibrancy to the celebration. A classical dance presentation based on Shiv Stuti and a Krishna-centric Thumri mesmerised the audience. A short film depicting the inspiring journey of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia was also showcased, highlighting her contributions to education and society.

During the award distribution ceremony, 144 students who secured top university and college positions were honoured with medals, certificates, and cash prizes. In addition, 131 students were recognised for their achievements in Youth Festivals, sports, IT Forum, MEK Forum, SWA, and NSS activities.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Ms. Garima Singh shared insightful reflections, encouraging students to pursue their chosen paths with integrity, dedication, and commitment. She also inspired teachers to act as role models and urged parents to contribute towards creating a cleaner and more harmonious environment.

Mr. Dinesh Rai lauded the institution for its steadfast commitment to value-based education and holistic development, appreciating the harmonious integration of intellect, creativity, and character.

The event concluded on a vibrant note with enthralling musical performances by the students. The distinguished guests were presented with mementos as a token of gratitude. The programme was efficiently anchored by Rajni Kumar and Jaspreet Kaur.

Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra also extended heartfelt appreciation to the cultural coordinators, Arun Mishra and Amita Mishra, as well as Mickey Verma and the organising team including Meera Aggarwal, Rajni Gupta, Supreet Talwar, Monika Anand, and Manisha Kaushal for their dedicated efforts in making the event a grand success.
