Students of class 5 at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, led a Dussehra special assembly celebrating the victory of truth, righteousness and goodness over evil. The programme combined storytelling, performance and the traditional burning of Ravana’s effigy, and asked students to think about the Ravana that lives within each person.
The centrepiece of the assembly was a presentation on the ten faces of Ravana. Grade 5 students explained what each face stands for and which negative trait it symbolises. By tying a mythological figure to everyday human failings, the presentation reminded their schoolmates that overcoming evil starts with conquering the faults within ourselves.
The Pre-Primary teachers added to the occasion with an enactment of the Ramayana that brought the epic to life for the children. The performance carried the messages of courage, devotion and righteousness, and gave the youngest members of the audience a lively introduction to the story behind the festival.

Students of Grades 2 to 5 also took part in a range of creative Dussehra activities. The school said these fostered creativity, cultural awareness and moral values, giving children a hands-on way to engage with the festival beyond the assembly hall.
The highlight of the celebration was the traditional Ravan Dahan, performed by Principal Mr Yashpal Sharma. He also addressed the assembly, encouraging students to follow the path of truth, kindness and integrity and to overcome the negative traits within themselves.

The celebration closed with a reminder that the real victory of Dussehra lies not only in burning Ravana, but in conquering the Ravana within us. The school hoped the spirit of the day would inspire everyone to choose goodness, spread positivity and walk the path of righteousness.
