Parents are the main source of learning for a child. They are the primary caregivers and strongest pillar of support for a child throughout their life. It is only fitting that one celebrates them now and then. And 28 July offers a great opportunity to do so, as the day is celebrated as National Parent’s Day.
Young learners of Class I at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, filled the school with enthusiasm and creativity as they celebrated National Parents’ Day in style and creativity. The day was marked by a series of delightful activities that highlighted the special bond between parents and children.
The highlight of the celebration was a heartwarming photo frame-making activity. With small hands and big hearts, the children crafted beautiful frames, each one a unique work of art. They carefully decorated their frames with bright colors, glitter, and stickers, making each one a personal masterpiece. Once the frames were ready, the students placed cherished family photographs inside them, creating a keepsake that families will treasure for years to come.

Adding to the emotional significance of the day, the students also made handprint cards. This activity was particularly touching as it involved capturing the handprints of their parents alongside their own. The sight of tiny hands next to larger, nurturing ones on colorful cards was a poignant reminder of the love and support that parents provide. These handprint cards, adorned with heartfelt messages and vibrant designs, served as a tangible representation of the bond between parents and their children.
Throughout the activities, the school was filled with laughter and joy. The young artists were eager to show off their creations, and the parents were equally delighted to see the effort and love that went into each project. Teachers and staff members facilitated the activities, ensuring that every child had the opportunity to express their creativity and appreciation for their parents.
The celebration of National Parents’ Day at Apeejay School not only nurtured the students’ artistic skills but also reinforced the importance of family bonds. The event provided a platform for children to express their love and gratitude towards their parents in a creative and meaningful way. Parents, in turn, felt cherished and appreciated, deepening the emotional connection with their children.
National Parents’ Day at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, was truly a memorable experience, celebrating the enduring and special bond between parents and their children.
