Apeejay School, Faridabad, gears up for the decennial edition of AISMUN

It is a matter of great pride that Apeejay School, Faridabad, is preparing to host AISMUN X, the tenth edition of the Apeejay Inter-school Model United Nations, on August 11 and 12, 2026. The milestone conference will mark ten years of student debate, diplomacy and collaborative problem-solving at the school’s Sector 15 campus.

The forthcoming edition carries the weight of a decade shaped by delegates, committee chairs, mentors and organisers. What began as a modest initiative has gradually developed into a forum where students engage with difficult questions, defend unfamiliar positions and learn to work through disagreement. This year’s conference will honour that journey while looking towards the next phase of AISMUN.

Across two days, delegates will step into roles that demand preparation, patience and intellectual honesty. They will be expected to research their assigned countries or positions, speak with clarity and respond thoughtfully to views that differ from their own.

The experience places equal value on listening and speaking. Negotiation, empathy, leadership, critical thinking and consensus building remain at the heart of the conference.

AISMUN X will feature ten committees spanning international affairs, human rights, technology, public policy, sport and media. The agendas will take students into some of the most demanding debates of the present time.

These include the weaponisation of artificial intelligence, cyber violence against women and girls, education in crisis-affected regions, refugee burden sharing, electoral reforms and military action under international law. 

The conference will also offer distinct formats beyond conventional diplomatic committees. The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile committee will examine competitive integrity and operational crises in motorsport.

The Indian Premier League committee will conduct a simulated player auction, while International Press participants will contribute as journalists, photographers and caricaturists.

Students from Classes IV onwards may participate, subject to the stated eligibility conditions: The participant must be enrolled in a recognised educational institution as of August 1, 2026. And the participant must be studying in Class IV or above.

A delegate who meets either of these stated conditions to participate in AISMUN X. Registration is open to individual delegates and school delegations.

To qualify for the Best School Delegation Award, a school group must include at least ten delegates and have representation in every committee. 

As the conference approaches, AISMUN X promises more than a formal simulation. It will give students the chance to test their ideas, reconsider assumptions and experience how informed dialogue can move a room from disagreement towards understanding.
