This exam conducted by the CBSE plays an important role in a student’s life.
The Political Science exam was of 80 marks. All the questions were compulsory, however, there was internal choice in the last section. The question paper was divided into five sections.
The format of the paper:

Section B: 7 questions (13-18) – 2 marks each;
Section C: 5 questions (19-23) – 4 marks each
Section D: Passage, cartoon, and map-based questions (24-26) – 4 marks each
Section E: 4 questions (27-30) – 6 marks each
According to Praveen Kumari, Primary In-charge, who also is a Political Science teacher at Apeejay School, Pitampura, this year’s question paper was different from how the CBSE has been setting the papers in the previous years.
“This year, the paper was set with a lot of thought on the pattern that CBSE has now initiated – it was competency-based. A lot of questions in all sections were formulated differently even though they were from well within the curriculum. Since the questions asked were competency-based, the students found it easy,” Kumari said.
“Hence, I had asked my students to write the answers that they thought were correct and give their point of view,” Kumari said.
The CBSE has set up 7,250 exam centres across the nation and 26 countries abroad. The total number of registered candidates for class XII is 16.9 lakh candidates. Out of these, 7.4 lakh are girl students, 9.51 are boys. The class XII exams will be conducted for 36 days and will be over on April 5, 2023. The CBSE conducted exams in 115 subjects for class XII.
The results are slated to be released in May 2023 on CBSE’s official website.
