Students learn the importance of innovation and technology readiness to grow businesses

Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMTEC), Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, organised an Expert Talk for its students on the topic “Process of Innovation Development and Technology Readiness Level”. The workshop was conducted by the institute’s Innovation Council (IIC).

Technology readiness level refers to a measurement system used to assess the maturity level of a particular technology.

Rohit Verma, assistant professor, School of Information Technology, AIMETC, was the resource person for the workshop. The objective of the Expert Talk was to make students aware of the process of innovation development and measure the level of technology readiness to run businesses in today’s world.

The AIMETC professor explained why innovation and technology advancement have become crucial for business growth, differentiation, and competitive advantage at all levels for every entrepreneurial venture.

The event was successfully coordinated by Arushi Sidana, convener, IIC, Hardeep Kaur, coordinator, IIC, and the student coordinators.

Dr Rajesh Bagga, director, AIMETC, congratulated the organising team. He emphasised the importance of such initiatives in instilling industry readiness in students. Such events help motivate students and develop a culture of innovation, startups, and entrepreneurship, he said.

A while back, IIC had organised another workshop on “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking and Innovation Design”, where AIMETC students learnt about how innovation helps in solving business and social problems systematically. They got an insight into state-of-the-art perspectives, ideas, and concepts related to the design and execution of innovation-driven projects.
