The Students at Apeejay School, Noida celebrates Earth Day

Earth Day is celebrated annually and serves as a poignant reminder of the critical importance of environmental stewardship. In an increasingly interconnected world, environmental issues transcend national borders. Earth Day celebrations in schools provide an opportunity to foster global citizenship and solidarity.

Aligned with the same thought, Apeejay School, Noida commemorated Earth Day with a special assembly centered on the theme “PLANET VS. PLASTICS.’, which was the theme of this year’s Earth Day. The event aimed to foster awareness about environmental conservation and instill a profound sense of responsibility towards our planet, Earth.

The students of the Pre-Primary session commenced the special assembly with a hearty welcome extended to other students, teachers, and the in-charge. An introduction to Earth Day and its significance set the tone, underlining the crucial need to safeguard the environment for future generations.

Through this gathering, students were sensitised with the importance of environmental conservation, instilling in them a sense of responsibility towards nurturing and preserving the planet for years to come.

During the assembly, the children showcased vibrant dances and a compelling play, all centered around the theme of environmental conservation. As a culmination, every student pledged to uphold Earth’s well-being by conserving water, energy, planting trees, and respecting nature.

Additionally, the Nursery students demonstrated their creativity by crafting special headgear through finger painting, inspired by the ethos of environmental stewardship.

Meanwhile, the KG students crafted handprint elephants, serving as a gentle reminder of each citizen’s duty to safeguard the planet and its invaluable wildlife. This creative endeavour underscores the importance of the collective efforts in ensuring a sustainable world where elephants and other animals can coexist harmoniously.

Through such creative expressions and mindful conservation actions, students of Apeejay School, Noida aimed at paving the way for a future, where biodiversity flourishes and ecosystems remain intact.

Overall, the day lived up to its name, symbolising unity in a shared commitment to cherish, nurture, and preserve a beautiful planet every day but not just on Earth Day.
