How did you feel after receiving the prestigious Dr Stya Paul award?

Ever since I got admitted to the Apeejay College of Fine Arts, I always heard about the prestigious Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values. It eventually became a dream of mine to achieve it. Receiving this esteemed award was an incredibly humbling experience. I feel deeply honoured to be recognised for my efforts, and it has inspired me to work even harder.

What are the core values you believe are relevant in today’s time?

The core values that are relevant in today’s world are integrity and empathy. Trust can often be fragile, making it essential to be honest and uphold strong moral values. Equally important is the ability to understand and support each other’s feelings, fostering a sense of compassion and connection in our interactions.

How well do you resonate with the motto- Soaring High is My Nature?

For me, the motto ‘Soaring High is My Nature’ has always represented the idea of pushing beyond limits, setting ambitious goals, and giving my best to achieve them, even if it means stepping out of my comfort zone. It embodies the pursuit of continuous growth and self-improvement.

What is your philosophy to lead a good life?

My philosophy in life is to be grateful for what I have and to find joy in the present moment. I believe in continually learning and growing throughout the journey of life, while always remembering where I came from.

What is your driving force after receiving this award?

This recognition reminded me of what is possible through dedication and motivated me to work even harder to live up to it and make a positive impact.

What are the basic human values people lack? How to work on them?

I believe that the basic human values people lack today are gratitude and patience. In a world focused on achievement and consumption, gratitude is often neglected. People should start showing appreciation to God and their loved ones for what they already have. Patience has also diminished in this fast-paced world, where everyone wants instant results, but it’s important to understand that everything has its own timeline. Practices like meditation can help cultivate patience.
