Apeejay College of Fine Arts bids a heartfelt farewell 

The Jalandhar-based college hosts grand celebration for its outgoing students

Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar recently bid adieu to its final year students in a grand celebration titled “Shubh Ashish 2024” at a farewell party held recently. The event, graced by the presence of Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal of ACFA, was a poignant and joyous occasion filled with heartfelt speeches, performances, and recognitions.

Dr. Dhingra, in her address to the graduating students, emphasised the significance of representing the esteemed institution of Apeejay College with grace and dignity. She urged, “You all must carry the name of the college proudly and strive towards making positive contributions to society.” Dr. Dhingra also extended her best wishes for their future endeavours, encouraging them to excel in their chosen paths.

The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to the final year students by Nandini Bajaj, a student of B.Com Semester 4. Following this, Rajat Sharma (Head Boy) and Yashkiran (Head Girl) expressed gratitude on behalf of the final year students, thanking the Principal, faculty, and staff for their unwavering support and guidance throughout their academic journey. They reminisced fondly about their time at Apeejay College, acknowledging it as a golden period in their lives and a second home.

Entertainment took center stage with captivating performances, including contemporary dance routines set to Bollywood songs, soulful singing, and energetic Bhangra performances. The highlight of the evening was the modeling session, where final year students showcased their style and elegance on the ramp, adding glamour to the event.

The success of the farewell party was attributed to the witty and smooth compering by Ms. Harvansh and Mr. Mohit from the college faculty, along with students Nandini and Shobhna, who kept the audience engaged and entertained throughout the event.

In a special recognition segment, several students were honoured with titles and accolades. Samriddhi and Jivansh were crowned as Ms. and Mr. Apeejay, respectively, while other titles included Ms. Elegant for Chaaru, Ms. Cynosure for Pearl, Ms. Graceful for Yashkiran, Mr. Handsome for Utkarsh, Mr. Debonair for Piyush, and Best Dressed for Jot Parkash (Male) and Pallak (Female). These students were presented with gifts and sashes in recognition of their contributions and achievements.

Dr. Dhingra concluded the event by acknowledging the efforts of Ms. Garima and Dr. Simkee for their meticulous planning and organisation, which ensured the success of the program. The farewell party served as a memorable send-off for the final year students, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another in their academic and personal journeys.
