Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrated Guru Purnima with great reverence, gratitude, and cultural elegance, recognising the invaluable contribution of teachers in guiding, inspiring, and shaping the future of young learners. The special morning assembly, organised by the students of Class IV, beautifully captured the essence of the occasion and highlighted the age-old Indian tradition of honouring one’s guru.

The celebration commenced with a warm welcome, followed by an insightful introduction that shed light on the significance of Guru Purnima and the sacred relationship between a teacher and a student. The students emphasised how teachers serve as mentors, role models, and guiding forces who nurture knowledge, values, and confidence in every learner.

A heartfelt tilak ceremony marked one of the most memorable moments of the celebration. The school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, along with all the teachers, was honoured by the students as a gesture of appreciation and respect. The ceremony reflected the deep admiration students hold for their mentors and created an atmosphere filled with gratitude and warmth.

“Guru Purnima reminds us that teachers are the torchbearers of wisdom, values, and character. Respect for our Gurus is deeply rooted in our culture and forms the foundation of lifelong learning. I appreciate the sincere efforts of our students in presenting a meaningful celebration and congratulate Srishti on her commendable achievement at the district level. May every learner continue to value knowledge, remain humble, and strive for excellence with dedication and integrity,” Dr Vasishtha said.

Adding a spiritual touch to the programme, Priyanshi of Class VII presented a soulful recitation of Sanskrit shlokas dedicated to the Guru. Her meaningful rendition beautifully conveyed the eternal bond of trust, respect, and learning shared between a teacher and a disciple. The performance encouraged everyone to embrace the values of humility, discipline, and continuous growth.

The cultural segment further enhanced the celebrations with a captivating classical dance performance presented by the girls of Class IX. Through graceful movements, expressive storytelling, and rhythmic coordination, the students portrayed their respect and devotion towards teachers while showcasing their artistic brilliance.

The occasion also became a celebration of sporting excellence as Srishti of Class VII was felicitated for her remarkable achievement in the Under-14 District Level Discus Throw Championship, where she secured the Silver Medal. Her accomplishment was applauded by everyone, inspiring students to pursue excellence and demonstrate dedication in diverse fields.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired by the spirit of gratitude, cultural heritage, and the everlasting bond between teachers and students.
