Festivals have always played an important role in bringing families and communities together. Beyond the celebrations, they offer children an opportunity to connect with Indian traditions and understand the value of shared experiences. School events that involve parents, teachers, and students help keep this cultural connection alive.
With this spirit, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, organised Deep Dandiya Utsav, an evening dedicated to Indian culture, festive traditions, and togetherness. The celebration brought together dance, music, games, and entertainment, creating an occasion for the school community to celebrate as one.

The event was organised under the esteemed patronage of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education, and the guidance of Dr Neha Berlia, Co-Owner and Director (Family Business Board), Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, Lead-Education Vertical, Office Bearer, Apeejay Education, Member of the Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University.

An evening of dance and celebration
The occasion was graced by Mr Rajan Syal, Managing Director of Parindey Fitness, Dance and Acting Academy, as the chief guest. Fondly known as the ‘Warrior of Happiness’, he presented dance performances along with his talented team, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Teachers, students, and parents also participated in dandiya performances, making the celebration a shared experience. Their participation reflected the spirit of the festival, where people come together through music and dance.
Festivities beyond the dance floor
The celebrations extended beyond dandiya performances. Colourful game stalls, a variety of food delicacies, and entertaining rides added to the evening’s attractions. These activities offered something for different age groups and contributed to the festive atmosphere.

The event reflected how school celebrations can help children appreciate their cultural roots while strengthening relationships within the school community. By involving students, parents, and teachers, Apeejay School, Tanda Road, reinforced the importance of family bonding, shared traditions, and community spirit.
