Recently, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, organised a special Mother’s Day celebration for nursery, KG, and Class I students. The event was planned to recognise the role of mothers in a child’s life and to create a shared space for appreciation, bonding, and joy.

Celebrations for nursery and KG began with a calm and thoughtful prayer by the children. This was followed by songs and small performances dedicated to mothers. The children expressed their feelings in simple and heartfelt ways, which shaped the tone of the morning.

The presence of mothers added a distinct energy to the event. Many arrived dressed in creative themes such as Bollywood Mums, Fairy Tale Mums, Desi Divas, and Bling Mums. Their participation brought colour and enthusiasm to the celebration.

Interactive engagement and activities

To make the event engaging, a series of activities and games were organised for the mothers. These included jigsaw puzzles, jumbled words, musical chairs, and balancing cup challenges. The activities encouraged participation and created a lively atmosphere filled with laughter and shared moments. Refreshments were arranged, adding to the overall experience.

A selfie booth became a popular space during the event. Mothers and children spent time capturing photographs, creating keepsakes from the day.

Class I Celebration

Mother’s Day was also celebrated with Class I students in a similar spirit. The programme opened with a dance performance by the children, dedicated to their mothers. A video tribute followed, adding an emotional element to the event.

Activities like clap yoga and games like musical chairs, jumbled words, and balancing the cup were organised. Mothers and children participated together, strengthening their bond through shared experiences.

The celebration concluded on a positive note, with participants leaving with a sense of connection and appreciation. The event reflected how simple school initiatives can create meaningful interactions between children and parents, reinforcing values of gratitude and togetherness.
