Aspiring law students have less than three weeks left to apply for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027. Registration began on August 3, 2026, and stays open until October 31, 2026. Applications must be submitted online through the official website of the Consortium of National Law Universities, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Admission to the five-year integrated LLB and one-year LLM programmes starting in the 2027-28 academic year will be through CLAT 2027. The exam is scheduled for December 6, 2026, in offline mode. It will run from 2 pm to 4 pm across the country, and the syllabus and exam pattern remain unchanged this year.
How to apply
Step 1: Candidates should visit the official website and open the CLAT 2027 link on the homepage.
Step 2: Click the “New Registration” tab.
Step 3: Students must then enter a contact number, email address, and password. After logging in, applicants fill in personal and academic details, upload the required documents, and pay the fee.
Step 4: Payment can be made online through UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking.
Step 5: Candidates should download the completed application form and keep it for their records. Applicants can select up to three preferred exam cities during registration.
General category candidates must pay Rs 4,000, while others pay Rs 3,500. The Consortium usually opens a short correction window after the deadline, but changes made after it closes are not entertained. Candidates should rely only on the official website for updates on the admit card, exam centres, and the correction window.
