For Dr. Sunilkumar Chaganlal Votavat and his wife Dr. Surbhi Sunilkumar Votavat, both practising doctors, choosing a school for their daughter Yahvi wasn’t a decision made lightly. It was informed by reputation and results. With Yahvi now in Class 2, Section C, at Apeejay School, Nerul, and a second daughter set to join the same school soon, Dr. Votavat shares what convinced them, and why the difference has been visible to them in ways few parents get to observe so directly.
What made you choose Apeejay?
Honestly, we had heard strong reviews about Apeejay and had seen its track record of results well before we considered admission. Our daughter has done wonderfully since joining, which only reaffirmed that decision. In fact, we’re so confident in the school that we’re now planning to enrol our second daughter there as well.
How would you rate the quality of teaching, and are teachers approachable?
The teachers are genuinely very good, and they’re always approachable. Whenever we’ve had a concern or missed something, we’ve been able to connect with them easily. Teachers have guided us well every time. They’ve been consistently supportive toward us as parents.
How do you find the school’s infrastructure, including washroom facilities?
Based on our daughter’s own feedback, it’s good, clean and accessible. She finds it easier to access non-teaching staff all around to support young kids. We have visited the washroom, auditorium and classrooms and they are fine and well maintained.
Do you feel extracurricular activities add real skills rather than becoming an extra burden?
We’re genuinely happy with how the school balances this. It doesn’t feel like an added burden at all — if anything, the activities complement her learning well.
What improvements have you noticed in your daughter since she joined Apeejay?
She’s doing remarkably well. I can say this with a somewhat unique perspective. My wife and I are both doctors, and in our clinical practice, we interact daily with children from various schools who come in as patients. That gives us a rare, direct point of comparison.
There’s a noticeable difference in schoolings and Apeejay students consistently stand out. That’s not just our opinion as parents; it’s something we’ve observed repeatedly through our work as physicians. It’s given us real confidence in the choice we’ve made, and we’re genuinely happy with how our daughter is growing academically and otherwise at Apeejay School, Nerul.
