NEET PG Counselling 2026: Round 1 Registration Begins
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has commenced registration for Round 1 of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) Counselling 2026 on October 12. Candidates who have qualified for NEET PG 2026 can apply online through the official website, mcc.nic.in, for admission to postgraduate medical courses.
The registration window will remain open until October 21, 2026. Candidates must complete the application process and pay the applicable fees within the stipulated deadline to participate in the counselling process.
The counselling process covers 50 per cent of All India Quota (AIQ) postgraduate medical seats, along with seats in central universities, deemed universities and Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) institutions, as applicable under the MCC’s counselling framework.
NEET PG Counselling 2026: Important Dates
According to the announced schedule, candidates can begin filling in their preferred colleges and courses from October 13. The choice-filling window will close on October 22, while choice locking will be available from October 21 to October 22.
The seat allotment process is scheduled to take place from October 22 to October 23, with the Round 1 seat allotment result expected to be declared on October 24, 2026.
Candidates allotted seats will be required to report to their respective institutions between October 26 and November 2 to complete the admission formalities. Verification of joined candidates’ data by institutions is scheduled for November 3.

Eligible candidates can follow these steps to complete their registration:
- Visit the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.
- Open the PG Medical Counselling section.
- Click on the NEET PG Counselling 2026 Round 1 registration link.
- Complete the online registration and fill in the required application details.
- Pay the applicable registration fee and security deposit, as prescribed.
- Submit the application and download a copy for future reference.
