Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, brought laurels to the institution by securing first position in the Sanskrit Category at the Rashtriya Samooh Gaan Pratiyogita organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad, West Zone. The competition was hosted at DAV Ayurvedic College, Jalandhar, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from seven reputed schools across the city.

The event celebrated the rich cultural heritage of India and highlighted the significance of music in promoting patriotism, unity, and respect for the Sanskrit language. Through this annual initiative, Bharat Vikas Parishad aims to nurture Indian values among young learners and encourage them to connect with the country’s linguistic and cultural traditions.

The students delivered an impressive performance, captivating the audience and judges with their soulful rendition, impeccable synchronisation, and expressive singing. Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, the young vocalists presented a harmonious musical performance that reflected their dedication, confidence, and deep appreciation for India’s cultural legacy.

Their melodious presentation stood out among the participating schools, earning them the coveted first position in the Sanskrit category. The achievement was a proud moment for the school community and demonstrated the importance of teamwork, discipline, and consistent practice in nurturing young talent.

The students’ success was made possible through the dedicated guidance of their music teachers, Ms Anjali Bhagat and Mr Johny Mahey, whose mentorship played a significant role in preparing the team for the competition. Adding depth and rhythm to the performance, instrumental teacher Mr Akash Sagar provided seamless tabla accompaniment, complementing the vocals and enhancing the overall musical presentation.

The remarkable victory reflects Apeejay School’s continued commitment to providing students with opportunities to explore their artistic abilities while remaining connected to India’s cultural roots.
