Recently, students of Class III-C at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, came together to celebrate World Kindness Day with an assembly titled Kindness Begins with Me. The event highlighted how small, thoughtful gestures can make a lasting difference in someone’s life.
The assembly opened with a soulful prayer, setting a calm and reflective tone. This was followed by the thought of the day, reminding everyone that kindness has the power to light up another person’s world. The word of the day encouraged students to understand and practice compassion in their daily lives.

Learning through expression
A student delivered a short talk explaining the significance of World Kindness Day and how simple actions can spread positivity. To keep everyone informed, a quick news segment followed, sharing updates from across the globe. The students then recited a poem that beautifully captured the spirit of kindness.

Performances that inspired
The highlight of the morning was a skit performed by the students, portraying how kindness leads to happiness and harmony. This was followed by a lively dance performance that left everyone smiling. To wrap up, a fun quiz tested the audience’s understanding of the day’s message.
The effort and teamwork that went into making the assembly meaningful inspired students to continue spreading kindness beyond the classroom. The Primary In-charge of the school addressed the gathering with an inspiring message, encouraging students to make kindness a part of their everyday behaviour.

The event also reflected the collaborative spirit of the young learners, who participated with great enthusiasm and creativity. Their confident presentations and expressive performances showcased not only their understanding of the theme but also their commitment to living it.
