Recently, Apeejay School, Kharghar, celebrated its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026-27, reaffirming its commitment to nurturing responsible, confident and compassionate student leaders. The ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council, entrusting them with the responsibility of leading the school community with integrity, dedication and a spirit of service.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the triumph of knowledge over ignorance, followed by an invocation dance that set a graceful and inspiring tone for the event.
The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest, Lt Col Pankaj Kumar Singh (Retd), Founder, Mustang Defence Academy, Pune. A decorated Army veteran, he shared valuable insights on leadership, discipline and perseverance, encouraging students to embrace challenges with courage and determination. He was felicitated by the school Principal, Dr Sonali V Balwatkar, in recognition of his distinguished service to the nation and his contribution to shaping young minds.


Addressing the gathering, Dr Balwatkar reminded the newly elected council members that their badges represented not authority, but responsibility and accountability. She urged them to lead by example, uphold the school’s values and inspire others through humility, integrity and dedicated service.
The highlight of the ceremony was the formal investiture of the Prefectorial Board, School Appointees, House Captains and Sports Captains. The student leaders were ceremoniously presented with badges, sashes and flags, symbolising the trust and confidence placed in them by the school. They then took the oath of office, pledging to perform their duties with sincerity, fairness and unwavering commitment while safeguarding the dignity of their positions.
Adding a personal perspective to the event, Head Boy Hanoc Jobin Johnson spoke about the responsibilities that accompany leadership, emphasising that respect is earned through discipline, service and exemplary conduct. Head Girl Jivika Vissu proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, Principal, coordinators, teachers, parents and students for making the ceremony a memorable occasion.










The programme concluded with the National Anthem, followed by a group photograph of the newly elected Student Council with the dignitaries.
More than a ceremonial event, the Investiture Ceremony reflected Apeejay School, Kharghar’s vision of developing future-ready leaders who lead with courage, compassion and purpose. Upholding its motto, Soaring High is My Nature, the school continues to empower students to embrace leadership as an opportunity to serve, inspire and make a meaningful difference in society.
