Showcasing AI-driven education vision at India AI Impact Summit

The Ministry of Education will present its vision for advancing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education during a special session at the India AI Impact Summit, which is being held in New Delhi and is titled Ministry of Education – Pushing the Frontier of AI in India. The session is expected to highlight the ministry’s ongoing efforts to integrate AI across various levels of education and reinforce India’s commitment to building a future-ready learning ecosystem.

It aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, which aims to transform India into a developed nation through innovation, technology, and inclusive growth.

According to the ministry, over the past decade, it has made significant strides in laying the foundation for AI-enabled education. These efforts include the development of digital learning platforms, policy initiatives, institutional reforms, and capacity-building programmes that span school education, higher education, vocational training, research, and innovation.

The summit will also showcase how India is moving from policy formulation to large-scale implementation of AI initiatives. Key focus areas include the creation of robust public digital infrastructure, the establishment of Centres of Excellence, the integration of AI into academic curricula, teacher training, and partnerships with industry and startups to strengthen the country’s AI ecosystem.

The ministry believes that AI has the potential to transform teaching, learning, and skill development by making education more accessible, personalised, and future-orientated. Through collaborative efforts involving educational institutions, government agencies, and the private sector, India is working to build a globally competitive AI-enabled education system that prepares learners for the evolving demands of the digital economy.
