“I aspire to become a cricketer and bring home the world cup someday,” said the 11 year old young lad from Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg. Meet Divaansh Bhatia, who got promoted to class VI recently.

“I used to study for 3 to 4 hours daily. I prepared a systematic timetable to follow so that I can perform better in my exams,” explains Divaansh. He further states that Math is his favourite subject and he loves all kinds of calculations that are integral to the subject. “Numbers fascinate me. How magically can we make so many combinations out of them and create different results each time,” he further shares.

“My most favourite teacher is Deepa Duggal ma’am. She taught me when I was in V standard and now in VI she is still my subject teacher. The best part about school is studies. I love to devote myself to academics,” said Divaansh.

Upon asking how he loves to spend his time, Divaansh shares excitedly that he loves to watch reruns of his favourite movie – Bhool Bhulaiya 2 or else read the book Matilda by Roald Dahl. “The theme of the movie and book is so similar and I enjoy indulging into the same movie and book over and over again to experience that magical revelry,” said the 11 year old.

This class VI student is also pursuing cricket as an extracurricular activity. “I will soon enrol myself in a cricket academy. I want to become an all-rounder like MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli and take my country to great heights in this sport,” exclaims Divaansh.

On a concluding note, Divaansh explains his daily schedule wherein he wakes up at 6:30 am. “I am back from school by 2:30 pm and then I take a quick power nap. After waking up I go out to play with my friends. Then I finish my homework and eat my dinner and I am off to bed by 10:30 pm. My most favourite food is Rajma-Chawal and each time I score good marks, my mother treats me to it,”
