Students of Apeejay School, Noida, presented a heartwarming morning assembly on the theme The Magic of Good Manners, reminding everyone that simple acts of courtesy can make a lasting difference. Built around the thought, “Good manners cost nothing but can win everything,” the assembly inspired students to embrace kindness, respect, and empathy in their everyday interactions.
The programme began with the morning prayer, creating a calm and positive atmosphere for the school community. This was followed by the ‘thought for the day’ and the presentation of the latest news headlines, which were delivered with confidence and clarity by the young learners, reflecting their poise and communication skills.
A thoughtfully composed poem formed the next segment of the assembly, highlighting the significance of practising good manners in daily life. Through expressive recitation, the students conveyed how kindness, respect, and politeness contribute to building meaningful relationships and fostering a harmonious environment at school and beyond.

Adding an informative dimension to the programme, students delivered an engaging presentation on the five ‘magic words’ like Please, Sorry, Thank You, Excuse Me, and May I. They explained how these simple expressions reflect respect, gratitude, and consideration for others while strengthening interpersonal relationships. Their presentation encouraged everyone to make these words an integral part of their everyday conversations.
The assembly also celebrated the joy of reading as two students presented insightful book reviews, confidently sharing the key takeaways from their chosen books and inspiring their peers to develop reading habits. This was followed by an engaging video that illustrated examples of good manners in everyday situations, helping students relate the message to real-life experiences.
To reinforce the learning, teachers conducted an interactive classroom quiz based on the theme. The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, making the session enjoyable while deepening their understanding of the values discussed during the assembly.

The programme concluded on a vibrant note with a graceful dance performance that beautifully depicted the spirit of kindness, courtesy, and mutual respect. The colourful presentation captivated the audience and effectively reinforced the central message of the day.
The assembly proved to be both educational and inspiring, encouraging students to recognise that good manners are not merely social etiquette but essential values that shape responsible, compassionate, and respectful individuals, leaving the audience with a meaningful lesson to carry into their daily lives.
