‘This school is conclusively the best’

Parents often find themselves in a fix when it comes to selecting the top-notch school for their child that adds valuable personality development along with an exemplary scholastic background. Hence by keeping this foremost priority ahead, a school should aim at providing wholesome guidance to its students.

Meet Dr Yogendra Pal who is confident that his daughter, Shivisha Pal, studying at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg Jalandhar will do wonders under the school’s tutelage.

Excerpts from the interview.

Why did you select Apeejay as an admission choice?

After we recently relocated from Kanpur to Jalandhar, we began our search for an ideal school for our daughter Shivisha, it was only Apeejay that fulfilled all my criteria for being the best school. It’s just been a year that my daughter has been studying in the school and I already feel satisfied with my decision.

How are the teachers here?

They are extremely supportive and cooperative. They have taken a special interest in my daughter and help her cope in all her subjects well. The teachers also conduct regular PTMs which are important for us to understand the progress of our child.

 What about the balance between extracurricular activities and studies?

It is superbly maintained. I was particularly impressed by the wide range of cultural activities that the school organises. My daughter actively participates in all the dance events and enjoys it to the core. The school perfectly maintains a healthy balance between education and extracurricular activities.

 Do you agree with the adage – that school is the second home for a child?

I do. Having said so, I want to share an incident; my daughter fell extremely sick at school. Having a very high fever, the school staff and the administration took extra precautions and care until we arrived to pick her up from the school. The staff provided her with timely medical support too and has a doctor readily available on the school premises. This particular incident has been embedded in my heart as a cardinal memory.

 Has school impacted your child positively?

Apeejay has a lot of positive influence on my daughter. Since it’s just been a year that she is studying there I observe a tremendous potential of productive growth and progress in her. This school is doing a wonderful job in grooming her so well. I am hopeful that she will soon be ready to face this world after school.

How often do you interact with your daughter about school?

It’s daily. Both my wife and I are also from an educational background. So we understand the importance of having a healthy transparent discussion with the child. Our daughter also shares everything about her daily activities and learnings with us. The conversation that we have amongst us validates that everything is going smoothly with her at the school.
