Retirement or not? It doesn’t seem like a very difficult question, does it? Well, it is a very, very difficult question if you have lots of fans and you play a team game, etc.

Here are some cricketers who recently retired:

Dwayne John Bravo: An excellent Trinidadian all-rounder, playing for West Indies, also known as D.J. Bravo, played his last match in this T20 Men’s World Cup, a final group stage match against Australia. Speaking on ICC’s post-match Facebook Live show, Bravo announced his decision to call it quits. “I think the time has come,” he said. “I’ve had a very good career. … West Indies.”

Yuvraj Singh: One of the best players ever known, Yuvraj Singh scripted history on 19th September 2007 by becoming the first-ever batsman to hit six consecutive sixes in an over in a T20 match in the first-ever T20 World Cup. He retired on 10 June 2019.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni: An extraordinary wicket-keeper, batsman, and one of the best captains India ever had. MS Dhoni shocked the entire world by announcing his retirement on Instagram. He did it on Independence Day evening. Many fans hoped that Dhoni would play for the Indian cricket team in the T20 World Cup 2020. Unfortunately, the global event got postponed to 2022.

Dale Steyn: A very well-known and one of the greatest South African pacers, on 31 August 2021 announced his retirement from all forms of the game. Steyn took to social media to announce his retirement, saying: “Today, I officially retire from the game I love the most. Bittersweet but grateful.” The Proteas fast bowler has suffered poorly due to multiple injuries in recent years, notably during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
