‘Nature’: Poem by Akshat Kumar, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park

Everyone likes the beauty of nature
But then why do we put it in danger?
Nature gives us so many things to enjoy and embrace
Then how can we slam garbage in nature’s face
That is truly a disgrace
This is not fair
Nature is the world’s true gem
Yet it’s not appreciated like gold
It’s treated like some bit of dirt
Why throw garbage anywhere any time?
Like nature isn’t even worth a dime
We always treat nature with harm
But this is our alarm
Don’t use plastic
Even this small thing will be fantastic
Clean your yard
For if everyone works hard
And takes tiny, tiny steps together,
Regardless of their age or gender
So one day there will be cleaner and greener planet
Together let’s save earth

And show everyone nature’s worth!
