Attending preschool allows children to gradually become accustomed to being away from their parents for short periods. “Through regular and incremental exposure to separation, children can learn that they can cope with temporary separations and that their parents will return to pick them up,” explains Pooja Saini whose daughter Meera studies in Rhythms Kinderworld, GK II.

Excerpts from the interview

Why did you select Rhythms for your little one?

This school is in the nearest vicinity to my home, and this preschool felt more homely. These were a few prime requirements to admit my toddler here. Even the staff and admission administration were quite prompt in executing all the formalities. I am glad it fits best for me and my baby.

How is the environment and infrastructure here?

This school understands and focuses on the premise that – the child is gearing up to hone a strong foundation of learning at a preschool, which is amazingly thoughtful. My daughter, Meera received such a sweet welcome with toys and play areas where she found her comfort and started to settle slowly. Infrastructure-wise, the washrooms are tidy, and they also have a clean kitchen where they prepare tasty and hygienic food for the tiny tots.

How are the teachers here?

They are all wonderful! I would like to share an instance where initially my daughter was suffering from serious separation anxiety whenever I would drop her at school. Following this, every staff member of this school made an extra effort to make my child feel comfortable, happy, and safe over time. I couldn’t be more grateful to the teachers here.

What are the special teaching techniques used here?

I think the use of music to reinforce learning is a great way to teach students. This captures the attention of children and enhances learning. I have observed my daughter singing nursery rhymes throughout the day which assures that she is enjoying this process. Storytelling and music are activities that brighten up the mind of a young one.

Would you like to continue with Apeejay in the future too?

Yes, right now Meera will continue her primary education here at the same school only. After that, I have a few other plans that we are figuring out, but right now I am pretty satisfied with Apeejay and happy with the way things are going for her.

Do you have any grand memories from this school?

I think the Christmas party was a splendid celebration. I was present there with my daughter and it was an extremely enjoyable experience, we all gathered and sang carols and danced like a whole big family.
