Why are trade fairs important in the dynamically evolving business world? It’s because such events provide a platform for face-to-face interaction, understanding the target audience, and analysing if there is a need to pivot strategy in order to better address the market.

Thus, aligned with this context, E-Cell of Apeejay School of Management (ASM) Dwarka, Delhi recently organised an International Trade Mela. The students team including Komal, Prachi Mishra, Vikas and Himanshu from PGDM-II were the planners for this key event.

The one-day mela witnessed participation from 14 students of PGDM-I. The enthusiastic MBA students were divided into four groups, who installed stalls themed on four different countries including India, China, USA, and Nepal. The four stalls included interesting products from these countries.

All the faculty members and staff members visited the stalls to buy products and they enjoyed the hospitality at the counters. Prof. Anuj is the faculty incharge for E-cell.

Sharing her thoughts, Nancy Sharma (PGDM-I) expressed, “It was a great experience to participate in this International Trade Mela as  it helped us in boosting our confidence and professional development. I am thankful to our mentor Prof. Anuj Sir for his guidance.”

The event coordinator Komal Singh (PGDM-II) said, “The first year students have shown their confidence and enthusiasm in arranging the products at different counters. Such activities are very helpful for the students’ overall development.”

Finally, Prof. Anuj Kumar, E-Cell incharge, highlighted, “It was satisfying to see students’ effort during this activity. The whole activity was organised by students, for the students and completed by the students. It is going to help them to develop professionally.”

In the end, Deputy Director Dr. Etinder Pal Singh and Registrar Dr. Usha Ravi along with E-Cell Incharge Prof. Anuj Kumar presented prizes to the teams. Team India lead the competition followed by Team China and Team USA
