Meet Anika Jha, a dedicated student hailing from Apeejay School Nerul. Tell us about yourself.

I am a simple happy-go-lucky person. I am usually immersed in a diverse range of subjects and activities. One of my greatest passions is dancing. Other than that, music is my second favourite hobby. It’s another integral part of my life. I enjoy exploring various genres as each of them is unique stirs different emotions within me and broadens my musical horizons.

What was your first reaction after seeing the topic?

Crafting my debut piece for Apeejay Newsroom was a momentous occasion, especially as it allowed me to honour the woman who means the world to me – my mother. Though writing isn’t my forte, the topic immediately captivated me and I began writing for– Nurturing connections: Exploring the Strong mother-child bond

What was your process of writing?

Without much deliberation, I embarked on the journey of putting pen to paper, letting my thoughts and experiences flow freely. The result was a heartfelt narrative of the bond I share with my mother, brimming with the emotions that fuel our connection.

Books you like to read.

As an avid reader, I find solace in the pages of Agatha Christie’s mysteries and at present engrossed in Colleen Hoover’s It Ends with Us. Drawing inspiration from Christie, I began my article with one of her insightful quotes, setting the tone for my narrative.

Did your mother like the article?

Before leaping to get my article published, I sought my mother’s opinion, and her approval gave me the confidence to proceed. Her endorsement was the final validation I needed before sharing my heartfelt tribute with the world.

Any writing tops you would want to give?

One must express what they feel. Authenticity is something that will take you far. You must connect with the topic and convey your thoughts as whatever you may feel from within.
