A combination of a fit body and a good state of mind is what constitutes a healthy living. In the modern era, every person is familiar with the famous quote given by a Roman poet Juvenal “A healthy mind lives inside a healthy body’’, but the question is how many of us really follow that rule?

How a person feels is dependent on the way  he/she chooses to adopt his/her daily living. When a person adopts a
good-quality lifestyle, it not only reduces the chance of diseases but also enhances their brain development and cognitive abilities. Just like a particular skill is honed over time, similarly, healthy living is also something one can achieve by practicing daily.

To ensure a  healthy lifestyle, you can follow these simple tips:.

The first and foremost is adding green leafy vegetables and fruits to your diet that are rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber, and further prevents from diseases like heart attacks, high blood pressure, high sugar level and certain cancers.

Secondly, working out regularly can help you manage your weight, strengthen your bones and muscles as well as it will increase your chances of living longer.

Another way to attain a healthy lifestyle is by fixing your sleep schedule as it can minimise the stress levels, boost your mood, enhance  brain functioning and  improve the overall quality of life.

For better skin, healthy teeth and gums  as well as lower inflammation, you need to cut out unnecessary sugar from your diet. You can top your bowl of cereal with your favorite fruits instead of adding sugar.

Lastly, it is important to realise that quitting habits like drinking and smoking can help you and those around you live longer, healthier and happier as these are the major reasons that can led to causing chronic respiratory problems, building different types of cancers , reproductive effects on women,  strokes and much more.

According to WHO, 60% of related factors to individual health and quality of life are correlated to lifestyle. Therefore, simple habits and changes in the day-to-day life can lead to a big difference. A healthy and mindful living can provide feeling of wholesomeness and increases one’s efficiency to perform  daily tasks, thus leading to more productivity.

With good health comes a great mindset and a perfect place for you to live in. Remember to eat for living and not living for eating only.
