Keep good memories of the past and move ahead to dream big about the future – this is the mantra of Primary-Years students at Apeejay School International, South Delhi. They celebrated the new beginning of their school journey by taking their first step towards a tomorrow filled with hopes and possibilities.

To revell this progression and development, Primary-Years-Programme students commemorated their Graduation Day 2022. Students were dressed up in black gowns and performed activities such as music and dance. They also showcased a power-packed performance on ‘The three little pigs’ that earned them huge applause and appreciation by the gathering.

School’s Principal, Mr. Purshottam Dutt Vashist addressed and complimented the graduates on their achievements. He also thanked the school teachers for their dedication and hard work in shaping the students’ abilities.  He appreciated the parents for their continuous support throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Dr. Amina Mobashir, mother of student Sanaya, “It was probably the happiest day for me and my daughter! I felt so emotional to see her in graduation robes. The teachers left no stone unturned to make them feel loved and cared for. Apeejay has worked tirelessly for my ward and I cannot thank the teachers enough for their guidance.”

The Principal along with the Primary-Years-Programme Coordinator, Ms. Shalini Fate felicitated the students with the certificates at the event.

Speaking about it, Ms. Fate says, “We came together to rejoice the milestones achieved by each of our students. Each teacher put down their personal experiences with the kids. The parents felt proud and emotional to see how well the teachers have known and understood their children. The kids too felt very special!”

Ms. Niketa Gupta, mother of student Myra, says “I had an amazing experience at the event. I realised that my kid is doing so well in school. What was most heartening to see was how much fun she was having. She looked so happy! At the age of 5, she has received at least 6 certificates for her talents, all thanks to the facilitators and teachers of the school. They have provided her with great opportunities. I would also like to say that the International Baccalaureate curriculum is helping my daughter become a fast-learner.”

The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by their Former Tutor, Ms. Charu Taneja. It was a joyous day for the students, their parents and mentors.

“After celebrating the Graduation ceremony for Diploma Programme students, it is time for our tiny tots to spread their wings. In the past two years, they have displayed remarkable ability to adapt and have moved seamlessly from an online to the offline mode. They have made up for the lost time quickly. This batch will always be known for their admirable resilience and grit.”
