‘Every special occasion is celebrated in the school; it’s truly remarkable’

Ruchi Chauhan, mother of Aditya Singh and Avijit Singh, is very happy with Apeejay International School, Greater Noida, and especially with the performance of the teachers. She mentioned that the teachers are doing a fine job because they give individual attention to all the students. It is truly remarkable!

In a quick conversation, the mother explains how celebrating all special occasions is a great initiative by the school that expands the child’s mental horizon. Read edited excerpts: 

Aditya and Avijit were recently promoted to classes III and X respectively. How was their result?

Both of them had a good result. Avijit scored 80 per cent and Aditya scored A+ in most of his subjects and also B+ in a few. The younger one is fond of Environmental Science (EVS) while the elder one likes Math the most. Avijit also has a keen scientific bent and thus is inclined to pursue a non-medical stream in his senior secondary classes.

Among their hobbies, Aditya likes to dance and make paintings while Avijit has a passion for football. He played the game a lot during his younger classes but he isn’t able to find the time presently owing to academic responsibilities. 

Are you satisfied with the way the teachers are performing?

Yes. I have interacted with many teachers and all of them are very nice in demeanor and excellent as educators. I have observed that they give individual attention to every student. Their guidance is very valuable and helps the students look at the larger picture in life. I am content with their performance.

You have chosen the same school for both children. Was the admission process easy?

Both my boys have been studying in this school since nursery and are extremely happy here. One might not believe but the admission process was not only easy but also really simple. I remember we had a formal interview with the principal. It was an amiable meeting that went ahead sans hassles on both occasions.

What’s the best thing about the school you’ve observed as a parent?

The first thing that I have mentioned previously, is the individual attention given to every student by the teachers. It is a crucial factor in the development of their personality and the school is sensitive to this need. Then, the fact that the school maintains a good student-teacher ratio and none of the classes are overcrowded. This enables the teacher to give individual attention to all students.  Also, the school not only imparts academic knowledge but also helps students grasp crucial human values and life skills.  Every special occasion, be it historical or cultural, is celebrated in the school. As I speak to you, my children will be celebrating Earth Day. This way, the students gain not only knowledge but also understand the relevance of the event and happenings in the world.
