Young leaders take charge at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi’s investiture ceremony
Newly elected Student Council members pledge to lead with integrity, responsibility, and a spirit of service
Recently, Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, witnessed a proud and inspiring celebration of leadership as it hosted its Annual Investiture Ceremony. The occasion marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council and served as a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible, confident, and service-oriented young leaders.
The ceremony commenced on an auspicious note with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolising the triumph of knowledge and enlightenment. Adding grace and spirituality to the event, Guneet Kaur captivated the audience with a soulful invocation dance, seeking divine blessings for the success and prosperity of the newly elected student leaders.
The formal proceedings began with a warm welcome address by Priya Rana, who extended greetings to the Principal, Mr. A.K. Sharma, the Vice Principal, Mrs. Loveleen Bagga, faculty members, and students. Her address set the tone for a memorable and meaningful celebration.
The highlight of the event was the investiture and badging ceremony. The school Principal Mr AK Sharma and Vice-rincipal Mrs Loveleen Bagga jointly conferred badges of office upon the newly elected members of the Student Council, symbolising the trust and responsibility entrusted to them. The young leaders then took the Oath of Office, administered by the Principal, pledging to uphold the values of honesty, dedication, integrity, and service in all their endeavours.
Recognising academic excellence, scholar badges were also awarded to meritorious students for their outstanding achievements. The moment served as a source of inspiration for the entire student community, encouraging them to strive for excellence in every sphere of school life.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal congratulated the newly invested council members and emphasised that true leadership lies in selfless service, humility, and empathy. He urged the students to lead by example and become role models for their peers.
The head boy and girl also addressed the audience with confidence and enthusiasm, sharing their vision for the academic year ahead and reaffirming their commitment to representing the student body with sincerity and responsibility.
A sense of unity and belonging filled the atmosphere as the school community came together to sing the School Song, celebrating the shared values and spirit of the Apeejay family. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the Vice-principal, who expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
