Navya Birla, a class 6 student of Apeejay School in Noida, shared her passion for swimming, saying, “I started swimming as an extracurricular activity, and then with time I started loving water. Now, I train for 2 hours daily. Swimming engages the entire body with every stroke, making it feel like soccer with more kicking. It’s okay to face challenges; we just need to keep on trying. Consistency and discipline are the keys to success in whatever you do, and I follow the same in my swimming training. My role model is the most decorated Olympian, Michael Phelps, and I truly believe in what he mentioned: “Every Champion was once a contender.” I am very thankful to my coaches, teachers, and parents who support me in academics as well as in sports.”
