“I hear and I forget.  I see and I remember.  I do and I understand”

A quote about learning by the well-known Professor Benjamin Horton. In it, he summarises the process of how one acquires concepts simply by performing them.

For being able to master this practice, ScooNews has conferred the ‘Best Experiential Learning Implementation in Pre-school- Jury’s Choice’ award to Apeejay, Rhythms Kinderworld, Greater Kailash-II. The honour is annually bestowed upon institutions that have made a significant contribution towards the field of experiential education. Further, it recognises them based on co-curricular experiences offered to cultivate life-long learning habits.

Rhythms Kinderworld has been a frontrunner amongst pre-schools as it carries forth the Apeejay Stya legacy of over five decades of excellence in education. The pre-school provides an ideal environment for safe, buoyant and stimulated learning.

Catering to the age group of one to five, the school comprises experienced and well-trained faculty members who practise innovative, age-appropriate and integrated methodologies to motivate children and enable them to meet their developmental milestones through an array of activities.

“Rhythms follows the best of different pre-primary curriculum selected from specialisations and practices across the world. Paired with the right environment, platform and activities, a child grows and understands the world in the school. We follow Montessori education, sensory-based activities, jolly phonics teaching, just to name a few. Through these, we endeavour to bring out the unique qualities and potential of a child,” emphasises Rabia Azim, an educator who teaches coding and programming, phonics, numeracy, speech and drama in the school.

Focusing on holistic development that can go beyond reading or writing, Rhythms nurtures young learners through practices that enhance their imaginative, creative, behavioural and social aspects. A leading pre-school, its pedagogy is practical, realistic, interactive and sensory-based to drive curiosity balanced with inculcating rich values.

“Give the students something to do; not something to learn. And, the doing must be of such nature as to demand thinking. Through this, learning will naturally flow.”
