Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar organised a grand Valedictory Ceremony to mark the successful completion of its three-week Free Skill Enhancement Classes for students who had recently appeared for their Class 12 examinations. The initiative reflected the institution’s unwavering commitment to holistic education, creativity, personality development, and skill-based learning, providing students with meaningful opportunities to explore their interests and enhance their capabilities beyond conventional academics.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who enrolled in the specially designed classes aimed at broadening their creative and professional horizons during the transitional phase after school education. The ceremony celebrated not only the completion of the programme but also the growth, learning, and confidence students gained through the enriching experience.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra highlighted the institution’s continuous pursuit of excellence while preserving India’s rich cultural heritage under the visionary guidance of Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Paul Ji. She acknowledged the inspiring leadership of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia and Dr. Neha Berlia for empowering the institution to provide value-based, technologically advanced, and future-oriented education to students.

In her inspiring address, Dr. Dhingra emphasised that genuine growth begins when young minds step beyond their comfort zones and embrace new opportunities for learning and self-discovery. She noted that skill enhancement programmes play a vital role in helping students discover confidence, leadership, creativity, and a sense of purpose early in their academic journey.

Encouraging students to continue nurturing their talents and aspirations, she stated that education must go beyond textbooks and equip learners with practical skills, emotional strength, and creative thinking required to succeed in a competitive world. She also proudly shared that the college was honoured in 2024 with the prestigious ‘Best Institute for Excellence in Higher Education and Skill Enhancement’ award by ON Education and Acer, reflecting its dedication to academic excellence and student empowerment.

The ceremony became even more engaging as students enthusiastically shared their experiences from the programme. Many expressed how the classes significantly boosted their confidence, introduced them to new areas of interest, and provided meaningful direction regarding future academic and career choices. Their testimonials reflected excitement, gratitude, and a renewed sense of self-belief.

Adding vibrancy to the event, the programme featured innovative demonstrations and engaging student presentations, allowing participants to showcase the skills and knowledge they acquired during the three-week sessions. A captivating fusion dance performance blending Indian Classical and Western styles added colour and energy to the celebration, leaving the audience thoroughly enthralled.

The event concluded on a celebratory note with the felicitation of all participants through the distribution of certificates by Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra. She also appreciated the dedicated efforts of Dr. Monica Mogla and Dr. Simki Dev for successfully organising and coordinating the programme.

The valedictory ceremony beautifully reflected ACFA’s commitment to nurturing young talent and preparing students to step confidently into the future with enhanced skills, creativity, and self-assurance.
