The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated the links to upload the marks of class 10 students. Schools affiliated to the board can now upload the marks online at cbse.gov.in on or before June 11, 2021.

According to the new policy, while 20 marks for each subject will be for internal assessment as every year, 80 marks will be calculated on the basis of the student’s performance in various tests or exams throughout the year.

The break-up of marks for 80 would include student’s performance in the periodic tests (10 marks), half-yearly or mid-terms (30 marks) and pre-board examinations (40 marks).

Important points from the official notification

As per the official notification of CBSE, each school shall form a result committee consisting of principal and seven teachers for finalising the results. Five teachers from the school should be from Social Science, Mathematics, Science and two languages, and the school should co-opt two teachers from neighbouring schools as the external members of the committee.

The Ministry of Education decided to postpone the class 12 exams and cancel the class 10 board exams on April 14, 2021, due to rising Covid-19 cases in the country.
