The CBSE Class X Result 2026, declared on April 15, reflected a strong performance, with over 24 lakh students appearing for the exam. The overall pass percentage stood at 93.70 per cent, pointing to steady academic outcomes across the country. Girls once again outperformed boys, continuing a familiar pattern, with a pass percentage of 94.99 per cent, while boys recorded 92.69 per cent.
These results showcase individual stories shaped by discipline, consistency, and quiet determination. Meet five such students from Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg: Vipul Sonik (98.4%), Bhavesh Vij (98.4%), Nikita Sehgal (98.2%), Nikhil Suri (98.2%), Sparsh Puri (98%), and Arsh Puri (98%).
Speaking about his result, Vipul said, “It fills me with deep gratitude. It feels good to see my hard work, along with the support of my parents and well-wishers, finally pay off. My parents always encouraged me to stay consistent across studies, sports, and school activities, which kept me motivated.”
His study strategy was simple. He made it a point to finish all his schoolwork before revision, though balancing both was not always easy. “At times, I had to sacrifice leisure to stay on track. Initially, I struggled with subjects like Math, Science, and especially English. I worked harder on English, increased my study time, and practised until I felt confident. That effort made a difference,” the Class XI student who has taken non-medical stream and plans to prepare for JEE, shared.
For Bhavesh, the biggest challenges during preparation was maintaining consistency over a long period.” I started with strong motivation, but sustaining it required discipline. I made it a habit to study every day, even if for a short time, and gradually that helped me improve. During stressful periods, I made sure to take small breaks. I enjoy art, so I would spend time looking at paintings, listening to music, or going for walks to relax,” he stated and added that the pre-Boards felt overwhelming.
“I handled this by focusing on one chapter at a time instead of worrying about everything at once. I realised that strict timetables did not work for me, so I switched to flexible daily targets. I have chosen the non-medical stream and plan to continue working with consistency and a positive mindset,” he said.
Nikita, had aimed to score higher but is still proud as her result reflects consistent effort throughout the year. “My approach was simple. I focused on staying regular instead of waiting for exams to begin. Paying attention in class made revision much easier. I also treated pre-Boards as important checkpoints. My teachers played a big role in guiding me. Their feedback helped me understand exactly where I needed to improve. My advice to juniors is to stay consistent, focus on understanding concepts, and build a routine instead of depending on motivation,” the Class XI student who has taken up the medical stream shared.
