The CBSE Class 10 board results for the academic session 2024-2025 have brought a wave of pride and celebration at Apeejay School, Greater Noida. With remarkable performances by several students, the school witnessed not one, but four exceptional achievers scoring above 97%. In this article, these Class X toppers shared their strategies, study habits, and inspirations. Here’s a closer look at their journeys.

Samriddha Roy – 98.4%

The school topper, Samriddha Roy, expressed sheer disbelief upon seeing her CBSE result. “Honestly, I did not expect this much from myself. I thought maybe 93-94%. But everyone did so well – it’s an honor,” she said.

Samriddha credits her success to consistency and her school teachers. “On both school and non-school days, I made sure to study for at least three hours,” she shared. Mathematics, she admits, was her biggest challenge, “It demands practice, but if you’re consistent, there’s nothing to fear.”

With centums in Science, Social Science, and Artificial Intelligence, Samriddha has chosen the PCB stream with Psychology for Class 11, aspiring to become a doctor like her father. Her passion for language also shines through – she has reached the state level in the Spell Bee and actively participated in MUNs and school plays. “Reading helps me prepare for such competitions – it’s a hobby that builds vocabulary naturally,” she explained.

Prakhar Anand Saxena – 97%

For Prakhar, scoring among the top in the CBSE Class 10 results felt “natural”. A goal-oriented learner, he said, “I follow NCERT books, solve exemplar questions, and set daily targets. Long-term goals require introspection – I write everything down in my diary.”

Prakhar did not find any subject particularly difficult but emphasised the role of teachers in simplifying concepts. “My teachers are the best in Greater Noida,” he said confidently. “Even if the doubt wasn’t from the syllabus, they never hesitated to explain.”

Preparing for JEE, Prakhar has opted for the PCM stream with aspirations of studying Computer Science Engineering. His love for reading helped him score highest in English and Hindi, and he also cleared the first two rounds of the National Standard Examination in Chemistry (NSECE), a notable academic achievement.

Bhavya Sharma – 97%

Scoring 97% in the CBSE Class 10 boards came as a pleasant surprise for Bhavya Sharma. “I was expecting 94-95% at most. Some papers were tough, especially in our region,” he said. Maths, particularly trigonometry, was his biggest challenge. “I made a lot of calculation errors at first, but my teachers explained every concept patiently and helped me overcome my fear.”

Now pursuing PCM in Class 11, Bhavya is preparing for the JEE. With a deep interest in quantum physics, he aspires to become an IITian or join IISER to explore research in the field. “Quantum physics fascinates me – it’s full of probabilities and unknowns. There’s so much to discover.”

Remarkably, Bhavya is also a published research paper author. While working on a chemistry-based idea for the CBSE MANAK Awards, he expanded it into a full research paper with support from his teachers and submitted it to the IJNRD journal. “It all started with a simple line in the ‘Sources of Energy’ chapter about LPG components. That sparked the idea,” he said.

Richa Chhetri – 97%

A consistent and focused learner, Richa Chhetri attributes her success to a disciplined study routine. She dedicated three hours daily to academics, along with an extra hour specifically for Mathematics, where she practiced RD Sharma and solved sample papers to improve speed and accuracy. “Doing sample papers helped me manage time during the Maths exam, which was quite lengthy,” she said.

Hindi, she recalled, was the most challenging subject due to its complex spellings. To overcome this, she wrote practice answers daily and shared them with her teacher for regular feedback. Richa also shone beyond academics, participating in anchoring, singing, dancing, and acting throughout the year.
