Mrs. Sneha Chopra is the Branch Coordinator at Snehsthali Preschool in Delhi. She is also the mother of Apeejay Saket class 1 student Aarav Chopra. In an informal interview Mrs. Chopra mentions how the school presented her with the best birthday gift in the form of Aarav’s admission interview call, a few years ago. Edited excerpts:
Why did you choose Apeejay Saket over other schools for your child’s admission?
Actually we did not choose Apeejay Saket, it was Apeejay Saket that chose us. It was a pleasure for us to be chosen by such a good school. We were very excited back then. We had filled the nursery admission forms in over forty schools. Nursery admissions are like a gamble, if one gets an opportunity and then gets a chance to select a school, it’s indeed great luck. Similarly it was great luck that Apeejay School, Saket picked us. We had filled the form for Apeejay Saket as well, then the school called us for the interview and the interview went very well. I received the call from the school on my birthday which falls on February 20. So, it was a special birthday due to a wonderful birthday gift I received from Apeejay Saket.
Please tell us a bit about Aarav and take us through his progress at school?
Aarav loves to play and certainly loves to talk. He is a chatterbox. He loves to dance as well. He is a very naughty boy. He is very fond of toys and always plays with them. At the same time Aarav is also very studious. He likes to read and loves making stories. He is doing wonderful in the school at present.
Are the teachers engaging well with the students?
Yes, absolutely. I would like to thank Ms. Lakshmi Parvati, Aarav’s class teacher. She brings out the gem in Aarav. She is herself a gem of a person. I had never met a person like her before. She encourages Aarav to do his best. Aarav asks a lot of questions and raises his hand quite often in the class. Lakshmi Ma’am always gives him an opportunity. I would also like to thank Ms. Heena and Ms. Rachna Maagoo, they are lovely teachers. All the teachers are wonderful and are doing their best for the students.
What is the best thing about the school?
My husband and I are not Apeejay alumni. So, we had a different perspective and opinion about Apeejay schools. But once we met Lakshmi Ma’am, our entire thought process about Apeejay schools changed. Apeejay School, Saket, gave us everything that we hadn’t even dreamt of. The school has given us Aarav in a new form. So, all the best to Apeejay Saket students and members of the school staff. I am very happy with the school. Many thanks to Principal Sir as well.
How has the experience of the online classes been for Aarav?
Aarav was able to study well in the online classes. I was also participating in the class beside him. It was a wonderful experience for Aarav with all the teachers, his entire class and friends.
Now that all schools are reopening, is Aarav excited to go back to the school?
Of course (laughs) He is very excited to go to the school and along with him, we parents are also ready to embark on the school life journey again through Aarav.
