Republic Day celebrations took place with patriotic fervour and zest at Apeejay School Saket  in which students from grades Nursery to 12th showcased an impressive virtual programme. A special assembly was held to mark the day.

The celebrations began with the unfurling of the tricolour by the Principal Dr Sujeet Eric Masih along with teachers, school staff and students from different classes and everyone joined together to sing the National Anthem.

The cultural programme started soon after an inspiring speech by Dr Masih. The students expressed their love and patriotism for the nation through speeches, dance performances and poetic renditions. Pre-primary and Primary year students added a dash of excitement by dressing up in saffron, white and green, the hues of the tricolour.

In addition to these, a craft activity was conducted wherein students used tricolours in drawing national flags and created crafts depicting various themes related to Republic Day and honouring  the architects of independent India.

“Republic Day is a national festival to honour the valiant citizens of the nation. We need to rise above the demographics of caste, creed, culture, religion and region and work towards a better India –  the India of our dreams as enshrined in our Constitution. And hence, one for all and all for one should be our thought process.”
