‘Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld isn’t just limited to studies and books’  

Mrs. Asheen Kaur Sidhu is a homemaker. Her husband Mr. Gurtej Singh Sidhu is a real estate businessman. Their daughter Divneet Kaur is a Lower Kindergarten student at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld.

In an interview, Mrs. Kaur Sidhu applauds the school teachers for giving her daughter the space to grow and feel comfortable in the classes. Edited excerpts:

Why did you choose Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld ahead of other schools for Divneet’s admission?

We visited a few schools but the approach which this school’s teachers have towards the students is commendable. We were informed about this by the school’s principal Nidhi mam. The school has a wholesome approach towards the kids and they involve the parents in the process as well. The teachers are always available to the parents to resolve any query. It really helps in the child’s development as we get regular updates about the same. The extra-curricular activities organized by the school are also very interesting.

Please tell us a bit about Divneet and take us through her progress at school?

Divneet is a very quiet child. Her school transition however was very smooth. Within 2-3 days, she was very happy with the school and was excited to go there. She started interacting and speaking up. She loves painting and gets to do that a lot in school. The teachers have given her a lot of space which she needs as well. As an introverted child she needs that space and does not like people pushing to her. All this has made it very easy for her at school and she is a very happy kid now. I was initially very worried about her going to school. For she takes a lot of time to interact and talk with people. I was worried about how she would adjust in the school environment. Then because of the pandemic, she could not go to a play school. She simply started with nursery in the middle of the term. So, it was a big concern for me but within 3-4 days she adjusted very well in the school. She got a lot of personal attention from her teachers. I have no more worries. She is very happy to go to school every day now.

Are the teachers engaging well with the students?

Yes, absolutely. The teachers are not just focused on the writing part but also keep an eye on the speaking skill activities. She joined the school in October in Nursery grade. Within such a short span, we as parents have attended almost 15-20 functions in the school. She has participated in all the programs and it has been a wonderful development journey for her. I would like to thank Vasudha mam. She was her first teacher and the credit goes to her that Divneet is happy to go to the school.

What is the best thing about Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld?

I think it is the wholesome approach of the school. Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld isn’t just about studies and books. There is a wholesome environment of development for the kids. The school is excellent with regard to the interaction level, confidence building and the time and personal attention given to each student.  All this counts a lot.

How has the experience of the online classes been for Divneet?

Divneet did attend some online classes. Actually she joined the school last October but the third Covid wave hit in January. So she had online classes in January. It was a great experience for her. I think she was performing way better in the online class, as I was sitting beside her. She was answering all the questions and participating well in the classes.

Is Divneet happy to be back at the school building?

Yes, she is very happy to be back for offline classes.
