Alisha Nehra’s daughter Aaradhya Gopal has been promoted to class 4 in Apeejay Kharghar this year. She is already planning to get her three-year-old younger daughter admitted to the same school next year. The mother, who is a homemaker, says she is very happy with the teachers and the overall environment at Apeejay. Read on:

What made you think Apeejay Kharghar would be the best school for your daughter?

I had recently moved to Kharghar then and was looking for a good CBSE school for my daughter. Amid those choosing children on the basis of lottery, Apeejay Kharghar’s admission process seemed different and better. They interviewed parents and students and finally selected them based on their merit.

How does the overall environment at school help nurture children?

The school gives every child the right to participate and is inclusive in that sense. If one student is participating in a particular event, another student will be selected for some other activity. It is not like these opportunities are restricted to the best students in the class. This is what I like the most about the school.

As far as academics are concerned, I do not think the school puts any pressure on the students. Their teachers make them revise all chapters repeatedly.

Is Aaradhya excited to learn?

Yes. She has finally started going to school physically and is very happy about that. This means she is obviously enjoying the learning process. Not just her school syllabus, she is curious to learn about other things as well.

How has her personality developed over the years?

Aaradhya is reserved by nature. However, we have seen a lot of positive changes in her personality in these few years. Through the various opportunities to participate, she has been able to develop confidence and good public speaking skills.

How do teachers support parents?

Personally, I have had a lot of support from the teachers. Aaradhya was in class 1 when I was pregnant with my second child. I was in my final trimester and had to go to Punjab. Throughout that period, the teachers were there to support me and my daughter. In fact, they were kind enough to even postpone her exams.

Are you planning to enroll your younger daughter in the same school?

Yes, she is three now so we will apply next year. I am very happy with the school and always recommend it to other young parents.
