Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, Remembers Smt. Rajeshwari Paul on her 14th Punyatithi
Faculty, students and members of the institute gather in reverence to honour the enduring educational and cultural legacy of the First Lady of Apeejay Stya & Svran Group
Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, observed the 14th death anniversary of Smt.Rajeshwari Paul by paying floral tribute to her. A solemn ceremony of remembrance and appreciation was attended by teachers, students and staff, who expressed their regard for her selfless and sustained endeavours to uplift fine arts, culture and education.
Late Smt. Rajeshwari Paul, the beloved wife of Founder Chairman Dr Stya Paul, was fondly remembered for her graceful personality, humility, compassion, and selfless service towards society. Her life reflected simplicity, kindness, and dedication to human values, which continue to guide the ethos of Apeejay institutions.
Addressing the function, Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra expressed her pleasure, saying that it is her firm belief that the institution is a proud inheritor of the values cherished by Mrs Rajeshwari Paul in terms of artistic endeavours that stem from consciousness, sensitivity and direction. She further said that the college strives towards bringing up individuals who are responsible, socially conscious and culturally enhanced through the effective combination of creativity and intellectual pursuits. Dr Dhingra also appreciated the contribution of the college faculty, whose expertise is respected at National and International artistic platforms for upholding the cherished values of Mrs Rajeshwari Paul.
The memorial programme then witnessed the students from the Department of Music presenting a devotional music show under the guidance of cultural coordinators Dr Arun Mishra and Dr Amita Mishra. The melodies stirred up a nostalgic and reverent mood for the attendees, who were left emotional.
The event culminated with floral tributes from the faculty and staff and a moment of soulful remembrance for the indelible mark left by Mrs Rajeshwari Paul on education and art.
