Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrates Dussehra with devotion and enthusiasm

Dussehera at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, was celebrated with immense enthusiasm, devotion, and spiritual fervour. The celebration aimed to familiarise students with the cultural and moral significance of the festival while reinforcing the timeless message that good always triumphs over evil.

The school grounds came alive with festive energy as students and teachers gathered to witness the celebration. The atmosphere resonated with devotion and excitement as the school community commemorated Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana, symbolising the eternal triumph of righteousness over arrogance, pride, and injustice.

The highlight of the occasion was the ceremonial lighting of the effigies of Ravan, Kumbhkaran, and Meghnad by the school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha. The symbolic act represented the destruction of evil forces and the ultimate victory of truth and virtue. Enthusiastic chants of “Jai Shri Ram!” filled the air, adding to the spiritual fervour and collective joy of the celebration.

Beyond the traditional festivities, the occasion offered students an opportunity to reflect on the deeper significance of Dussehra and its relevance in everyday life. The burning of the effigies served as a reminder to overcome negative traits such as anger, greed, ego, dishonesty, and hatred.
