Rashmi Yadav, business development officer, IDBI Bank, says she is very happy with the exposure that her son is getting at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri. Now in class I, Devan Khoshya is already showing significant developments, the mother says.
Excerpts:
Can you tell us about some of the developments you are seeing in Devan?
Thanks to the teachers and the overall environment at school, Devan is gradually exploring his creative streak. He feels inspired by creative projects done at school and tries to reproduce them at home. He is taking a lot of interest in painting.
In class I itself, Devan speaks English fluently. He interacts with everybody confidently. His personality is also improving. At school, he is extremely obedient and disciplined.
Coming to academics, he is taking interest in learning. He takes responsibility for his assignments and completes his homework on time.
Why did you pick Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri?
Devan’s father is an alumnus of the school; the institute played a big role in shaping him. So, we already knew about the kind of exposure that Apeejay provides children to promote holistic upbringing. Everything about the school is very good. To date, we have never had any complaints about the school.
How do teachers motivate and support children?
The teachers have years of experience, so they are doing a very good job. They follow age-appropriate and interesting ways of teaching which helps children grasp concepts easily. A range of activities are conducted in the class, from assemblies to storytelling and compering, to developing new skills in children. Teachers give every child a chance to showcase their talent. In other words, the quality of teaching and other facilities at school have exceeded our expectations.
