Apeejay School, Saket hosts career counselling session on college admissions and CUET

Apeejay School, Saket, organised an insightful Career Counselling Session for students of Classes XI and XII on August 11, 2026, focusing on the theme A Guide to Colleges, Entrance Exams & CUET Preparation. The session was aimed at helping students make informed decisions about their higher education pathways while familiarising them with the evolving college admission landscape.

The session was conducted by Mr Akshaiy Srivastav, Senior Counsellor, Centre for Career Development, who brings over six years of experience in student counselling and career guidance. Through an interactive and informative presentation, he addressed several key aspects of the college selection and admission process, enabling students to gain greater clarity about the choices available to them after school.

The session covered important areas such as course selection, college selection, eligibility criteria and entrance exams. Students were also introduced to the CUET and its role in the undergraduate admission process. The counsellor explained the importance of understanding examination requirements, identifying suitable courses and universities, and planning preparation well in advance.

Emphasis was also placed on developing an effective admission strategy. Students were encouraged to research colleges thoroughly, assess their academic interests and strengths, and remain aware of the eligibility and examination requirements associated with their preferred courses. The discussion helped them understand how systematic planning and timely preparation can make the transition from school to higher education smoother.

The interactive nature of the session allowed students to engage with the counsellor and seek guidance on matters related to entrance examinations, CUET preparation and selecting appropriate academic pathways. The practical insights shared during the session were particularly valuable for senior-school students as they begin to navigate the important decisions associated with their future education and careers.
