In today’s rapidly evolving digital and social landscape, creating safe and inclusive learning spaces has become more important than ever. With children increasingly exposed to peer pressure, online interactions, and emotional challenges, schools play a vital role in nurturing empathy, respect, and emotional well-being among students.
Keeping this objective in mind, Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, organised an engaging and insightful Anti-bullying Workshop for students of Classes VI to VIII. The workshop was conducted under the aegis of the Interact Club in collaboration with Ms Sharon Chopra, Psychology Teacher, who guided students through meaningful discussions and activities aimed at promoting kindness and mutual respect.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and was designed to create awareness about different forms of bullying and their impact on individuals. Kanish Kumar of Class XII A, Sports Prefect and Treasurer of the Interact Club, played a key role in conducting the workshop. Through relatable case studies and interactive discussions, he encouraged students to identify bullying behaviours and reflect upon their consequences in everyday school life.
The workshop sensitively addressed various forms of bullying, including physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying. Students were made aware of how even seemingly harmless teasing or exclusion can deeply affect a person’s confidence and emotional health. Real-life scenarios and examples helped participants understand the importance of empathy, responsible behaviour, and standing up for others in difficult situations.
Adding a psychological perspective to the session, Ms Chopra spoke about the emotional impact of bullying and highlighted the significance of self-confidence, healthy friendships, and effective communication. She encouraged students to seek support from trusted adults, teachers, or peers whenever they encounter or witness bullying. Her interactive approach enabled students to openly share thoughts and ask questions, making the workshop both informative and relatable.

The workshop also included engaging activities that encouraged teamwork, compassion, and positive peer interaction. Students actively participated in discussions and reflected on ways they could contribute to building a more inclusive and supportive school environment.
The initiative successfully reinforced the message that every student has the responsibility to create a culture of kindness and respect. Through such meaningful workshops, Apeejay School, continues to empower students with emotional awareness and life skills essential for becoming responsible and compassionate individuals.
