It was by chance that this parent discovered Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, GK II. While searching for a suitable kindergarten for her twins, Rishaan and Rigansh, Dr Garima Kapoor happened to visit an ice cream parlour nearby and decided to step into the school. The moment she entered, she was struck by the cleanliness and well-maintained environment. The infrastructure was up to the mark, the surroundings felt pleasant, and the thoughtful decoration created a very positive impression.

“We liked the environment so much that we decided to go ahead. For the first two days, I sat inside the class and observed the way the teachers interacted with the children. Their attitude was warm, and the atmosphere was very positive. That gave me confidence in our choice,” shared the parent in a candid interview, among other things.

How would you describe the learning environment and atmosphere?

In the beginning, the twins took some time to settle in, so I stayed inside the class for nearly 15 days. During that time, I personally saw how the class teacher and even other teachers managed the children with patience and care. Their way of teaching and handling kids is really good, and the overall atmosphere is nurturing and positive.

Has your professional background as a doctor influenced your parenting approach with the twins?

My add-on focus is on hygiene. I make sure their hands are always clean and that oral hygiene is taken seriously. Being a dental surgeon, I ensure they rinse after meals, brush properly, and care for their teeth. I also pay close attention to their diet. Till now, I haven’t introduced them to sugar or junk food. They’ve never had sweets, chocolates, or packaged junk.

How do you balance your profession with spending quality time with your children?

At present, most of my time goes to the twins. I run a private dental practice, so I’ve hired a team of junior doctors to take care of patients under my supervision. This allows me to dedicate most of my time to the children, especially at this crucial early stage.

If you had to describe Rhythms with a colour, what would it be and why?

I would say orange. Every day when I drop off and pick up my kids, I see orange outside the school, so that’s the first association. Orange, for me, also reflects positivity.
